I spent the last 3 1/2 weeks in Oregon with my sister, helping to get out parents ready to move into an independent living complex. It was a task, two collectors (especially my dad), garage sale, boxing up antiques, distributing things to family, unpacking sheds, cleaning, painting, new carpet, & downsizing the furniture. It was a LOT of work, but we accomplished a lot and now just waiting for the house to sell and moving on with life.
I’ve spent a couple days catching up, getting groceries, mail, etc, etc…… Still lots to do.
At any rate, I did get back to the easel, posting and facebook. Back in the swing of things, almost.
My family lives in the middle of the wine country in Oregon and it’s beautiful. I was up there for my favorite time of year, fall, but I didn’t have much time to enjoy it. Today I was able to paint a farm that I just love and passed every day. I’ve been wanting to paint it for a long time. The Yamhill River runs through the back of the property and has some beautiful old barns. My sister knows the owners and has been there, but I don’t and haven’t. Maybe someday I’ll get a better look.
Hopefully, I’ll be back painting every day or almost. No immediate trips planned. Now it’s time to enjoy Phoenix, AZ weather.
