The Celebration of Fine Art is done. I’ve packed things away and moved my paints, easel, cabinet and more back into my studio. I’ve been working on studio painting for the last 3 months and haven’t been able to get out to paint on location. I’m itching to get out. I have decided that I will do a painting marathon of two 5×7″ paintings a day from April 7 thru May 7. This will help me prepare for more plein air painting in Europe and also to enjoy the outdoors. It’s perfect in Arizona right now! I have some commissions and deadlines to work on during the month, including a short trip to Denver and then on to CA painting with friends, demoing in the field at the plein air convention and just enjoying painting here and along the way. Oh, and I have to get my taxes together. (It’s mostly together, just in a pile.)
I will be posting my paintings on my website and the Daily PaintWorks Gallery where the paintings will be sold using paypal for $100. each. Each painting posted on my blog will have “Click here to purchase”. Click that phrase and you will be redirected to the 60 Paintings Galley (which can also be accessed in my navigation bar under paintings) where you can then purchase the painting. Since I will be traveling and working on other things during the month, I will wait until the middle of May to ship all the paintings at once when they are all dry. I will be experimenting with different supports during this time, so the painting may be on linen or prepared board. So, stay tuned for my experiences with different supports.
