Q & A

Q. How do I register to bid?

A. Go to “Register to Bid”, pick a user name and a password. Then, you are ready to go.

Q. How do I bid and what is the process for the auction?

A. Click Bid. I have Proxy Bidding (also known as Automatic Bidding). My automatic bidding system makes bidding convenient so you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time someone places another bid. When you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for the item. The seller and other bidders don’t know your maximum bid. Bids are placed on your behalf using the automatic bid increment amount, which is based on the current high bid. Only as much as necessary is bid to make sure that you remain the high bidder, or to meet the reserve price, up to your maximum amount. If someone bids higher than your maximum amount, you can always bid higher.

Q. What is the starting bid for each painting?

A. The bidding is started at approximately one quarter of my standard price for a painting. If it is an $800. painting (a 9″x12″), the starting bid is $200. This gives my subscribers an opportunity to own one of my paintings at a very reasonable price.

Q. What happens if I win the auction?

A. The winning bidder will be contacted to make shipping arrangements and payment using paypal either with your account or credit card.

Q. Can I buy it now if I really want the painting?

A. Yes, you can. Just press the “Buy Now” button and it will be yours at full price for the painting. Currently an 8″x10″ painting is $700. There is only one original painting, so it you really have to have it, you can with the “Buy Now” button.

If someone uses the “Buy Now” option, the auction will simply close until the next auction begins.

Q. Are Fleeting Moment paintings framed or unframed?

A. All paintings put up for auction are unframed. You can add a high quality frame at an additional cost. I would be happy to email you photos of the painting framed as well as the additional cost.

Q. Will my painting look the same as what I see on my monitor?

A. Because all monitors are different, the painting may vary slightly from what you see. The reaction I get from people buying online is that “The painting looks better than I thought it would.”

Q. How do you ship paintings and how much does it cost?

A. I use either USPS or UPS for shipping unless alternate methods are arranged by the winning bidder. The shipping is FREE. The AZ taxes are calculated by my simple and secure shopping cart. Additional shipping costs may be added depending on the winner’s location for overseas.

Q. How does the monthly giveaway drawing work?

A. Every month I give away to a subscriber an 11″ x 14″ matted giclee print of your choice from a select group of my giclee prints. A winner is chosen using a number generated by random.org from my entire subscriber list. If your number is chosen, you win. Thank you for subscribing.

Q. Do you make prints from the Fleeting Moment originals?

A. Yes, each painting is available in limited edition prints as well as a 5 pack of 5×7 cards with envelopes. Please check the “Print Gallery” for availability. If you have any questions about any prints, feel free to email me.

Q. If a painting that I like is sold, can you recreate it?

A. Since they are original paintings, no two are alike. I can paint something similar as a commission. If you would like to discuss this possibility, email me at beckyjoy@beckyjoy.com.

Q. Do you teach? Yes, I do demonstrations for art organizations, teach en plein air and studio, both at destinations and online. To learn what workshops I have available at this time, go to…..

A. Painting Workshops Online. If you would like me to teach in your area, email me at beckyjoy@beckyjoy.com.

Q. How do you create your paintings?

A. I paint on location, use my imagination, sketches and occasionally use photos as my inspirations. And sometimes any and all of these combined.

Q. If I buy an original painting, do I own the reproduction rights?

A. No, You will own the painting, but the work is copyrighted and I retain the rights to the image. In specific situations I have released the rights, so you can contact me to consider the request.

Please feel free to share any of the images on my website via email or social media. Thank you
