Another 8″x10″ oil painting on panel. Click HERE to bid on the auction painting
I’m sorry I missed an auction last week. I didn’t schedule the post ahead before I came down with the flu. OMG, it was a wicked one, but back on track and back to work.
Anyway, this was a painting that evolved in part by accident. I started with a yellow sky as my first thought. I really wanted to paint a yellow sky. So, I drew in the directional lines for the clouds. It wasn’t until I got to the ground that I let things go and worked with the brushstrokes. I had thought I might paint a road into the painting, but one little stroke on the canvas let my mind go into another direction. There was a curved stroke that I thought would make a much better distant wall of a canyon rather than a road. I continued painting in that direction and love what happened.
While I was down with the flu, I did some work on my website, Painting Workshops Online. If you found the website confusing or hard to buy or find things, it has been reorganized and all the dots connected. Check it out if you are interested in Art Tips or video lessons. Click HERE
